Hallam Castings' die casting foundry was established in 1968 to manufacture components for the electric motor industry, With its aluminium casting and pressure casting expertise, the company has attracted new customers over the years, making products ranging from industrial and domestic air conditioning systems and office furniture to DIY equipment and computer products.

Hallam Castings undertakes component and product design using Solidworks Professional CAD software in-house and works closely with customer design teams and design houses, the University of Sheffield and the National Metals Technology Centre (NAMTEC).

Hallam Castings produces around 20,000 aluminium castings per week from 10 die casting machines capable of making aluminium castings weighing up to 5 kg. Hallam Castings also assembles finished products for many of it's customers, sourcing components on their behalf to ensure best value for them.
Hallam specialises in the machining and surface finishing of components using Hallam Castings' brand new fully automatic industrial coating plant and other sophisticated surface finishing capabilities.
Pressure casting and component assembly
Hallam Castings produces around 20,000 zinc and aluminium castings per week from 10 die casting machines, and this product range still includes around 5,000 electric motor cast rotors per week. Hallam's experience in making this type of product in particular is unique, and Hallam's general die casting expertise is probably also unrivalled.
